Affiliate Disclosure

We want you to trust what you read here, so we’re open about how this site is funded.

What affiliate links are

Some links on Relaxed Travels Over 50 are affiliate links. If you click one and then book a hotel, tour or activity, or buy a product, we may earn a small commission from the company involved. This costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.

Who we work with

We work with, or are applying to work with, companies such as:

  • Hotel booking sites, for example Booking.com and Agoda
  • Tours and activities, for example GetYourGuide, Klook or Viator

Our promise to you

  • We only recommend hotels, tours and products we have used ourselves or would genuinely choose for our own holidays.
  • No company can pay to be recommended or to change what we write. Our opinions are our own.
  • Where we link to a booking site, we try to link to whichever option is best value for you, not whichever pays us most.
  • Every article that contains affiliate links has a short note at the top saying so.
  • Any affiliate or sponsored posts we share on social media are clearly labelled as ads.

Gifts and sponsored content

If we’re ever given a free stay, product or trip, or paid to write about something, we’ll say so clearly at the start of that article.

Prices and details

Prices, availability and company terms change often. We do our best to keep things up to date, but please always check the final details with the provider before you book.

Questions?

If you have any questions about how we work, please get in touch. Thank you for supporting Relaxed Travels Over 50.

About cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. If you tap Accept on the cookie bar, we switch on a tool called Stay22. It places a small cookie so that, if you book a hotel through one of our Booking.com links, the booking site knows you came from us and pays us a small commission. The price you pay is the same either way.

If you tap No thanks, Stay22 stays switched off. Our hotel links still work exactly the same, and nothing tracks where you go.

We remember your choice for six months, using one small cookie of our own that holds nothing but your answer. To change your mind, use the Cookie choices link at the bottom of any page.

WordPress.com, which hosts this site, also counts page visits so we can see how many people read each guide. That count doesn’t tell us who you are.
